  • Serve as leadership in the management of the 40 team members.

  • Conduct HR, training, administration, finance and legal strategies.

  • Represent the organization in the Raise the River binational group US-Mexico Science, Steering Committee and Communication teams.

  • Coordinate programs such as restoration, vegetation/fauna/hydrology monitoring, and environmental education.

  • Relationship building with donors in the USA and Mexico.

  • Develop communication and social media campaigns.

  • As part of the Executive Team, participate in Board Meetings and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion task force.

  • Focal point to national and international media coverage.

  • Prepare grant proposals and reports.

  • Responsible for the development of sustainable projects in Mexico's natural protected areas. Delivered: business plans, training programs as well as branding biodiversity strategies.

  • Marketing and PR services included event coordination and production of social media content, professional video and photography.

  • Clients: German Cooperation Agency (GIZ), United Nations Development Program (PNUD), National Commission for Protected Areas, amongst others.

  • Created the Sustainable Businesses area with limited budget and achieved national influence.

  • Developed and implemented: The model “Collective seal for businesses in protected areas” and “The National Strategy for Sustainable Businesses and Tourism in Protected Areas”.

  • Negotiated collaboration projects with governmental agencies (GIZ-Germany, AFD-France, AECID-Spain, JICA-Japan); With municipal, state, and federal governments; and with NGO’s, artists and chefs to promote the products and eco tourism services provided by communities.

  • Created the Sustainable Businesses area with limited budget and achieved.

  • Developed financial and technical plans to achieve goals established by the Commissioner and the Minister of Natural Resources.

  • Coordinated with Mexico’s Presidential staff for diplomatic tours to protected areas.

  • Coordinated meetings of the National Council for Protected Areas and gave follow up to ensure the completion of strategic agreements.
